Master Naturalist Felicia Hennessy will guide visitors through the science of snow formation, including how temperature, moisture and dust affect snowflakes.
The session will also introduce participants to William “Snowflake” Bentley, the first person to photograph a single snowflake. Some activities may take place outdoors, so attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather. The program is open to all ages and abilities.
EVENT LOCATION
We will meet at the Propagation Center to kick off the program. Park in the main lot off Hwy. 42 and take the trail to the north, about a 3 to 5 minute walk. Trails may be snow-covered or icy, be prepared for the weather.
